Washington, DC (January 20, 2011) — The National Parking Association (NPA) today announced that Lawrence D. McFadden, MBA, has been named Director of Marketing and eBusiness.
McFadden will develop and implement strategic marketing plans and eBusiness initiatives to increase NPA membership and promote membership retention, while expanding online services to enhance the member experience.
“We are pleased to have someone with Lawrence’s experience, knowledge and achievements leading our marketing and membership efforts,” said Christine Banning, NPA president. “He will play a key role in expanding our traditional, online and affinity marketing and product development.”
McFadden was Director of Membership and Marketing for the National Association of Home Builders’ Multifamily and 50+ Housing Councils. There he designed and implemented member recruitment strategies that resulted in a 5 percent increase in membership revenue and managed all departmental marketing campaigns. He was also instrumental in starting the group’s online webinar program.
As a project manager with Ipsos-Insight, an international marketing information company, McFadden conducted online and print market research for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) clients such as P&G, M&M Mars and Kraft.
McFadden has a bachelor’s degree from SUNY College at Brockport, Brockport, N.Y., and a master’s in business education with a concentration in marketing from Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y.
