Commercial & Valet Operator

This division comprises owners and operators of private commercial parking facilities in the United States and Canada. If parking revenues represent your company's primary source of income, you must join as a Commercial & Valet Operator member. If your company derives its income from parking, but is a subsidiary of a non-parking company, the parking company subsidiary must join as a Commercial & Valet Operator member. Valet companies qualify for Commercial & Valet Operator membership. This is a corporate category that covers all full-time employees.

Annual Commercial & Valet Operator member dues are based on the following scale:

1 to 3 $395
4 to 99 $105 per location to a maximum of $4,200
100 to 249 Flat rate of $5,775
250 to 499 Flat rate of $7,350
500 to 749 Flat rate of $8,925
750 and over (maximum) Flat rate of $10,500

 

NPA's Board of Directors requests Commercial & Valet Operator members to complete and sign an annual worksheet certifying their number of locations or localities.

Valet locations that are ongoing count as 1 location. The ratio for restaurants is 5 restaurants count as 1 location in determining the number of locations for dues.

Public

This division is comprised of non-profit organizations, parking administrators for municipalities and government agencies, parking authorities, hospital and medical centers, colleges and universities, libraries, airports, civic centers and sports arenas. This is an individual membership covering one employee. Annual dues are $395. Additional employees can sign up for an Affiliate membership at a cost of $105 per employee.

Industry Supplier

Companies in this division represent manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of products and services used by the parking industry. This is an individual membership covering one employee. Annual dues are $595. Additional employees can sign up for an Affiliate membership at a cost of $105 annually per employee.

International

This division is comprised of parking operators headquartered outside of the United States or Canada with no parking operations or subsidiaries within the United States or Canada. Any subsidiary of a commercial parking operator company headquartered within the United States or Canada is required to join as a Regular member at U.S. rates. This is an individual membership covering one employee. Annual dues are $525. Additional employees can sign up for an Affiliate membership at a cost of $105 annually per employee.

Affiliate

Regular members are entitled to one Affiliate membership for each $250 (or fraction) of dues paid. Affiliate members receive a subscription to Parking Magazine. Additional Affiliates are available for purchase at $105 per person per year.

GINP, Allied and International members are eligible to purchase an unlimited number of Affiliate memberships at $105 annually per person per year.

Associate

This division is available to planners, developers, designers, consultants, commercial real estate owners/managers, hotels, shopping centers, and to those who do not fit into the other categories. Associate membership is not available for private commercial parking operators, colleges, universities, or suppliers. This is an individual membership. Annual dues are $310.

Student

This division is available to fulltime college and university students interested in a career in the parking industry or specializing in architecture, building design, engineering, or real estate development. A copy of the student's curriculum or identification card must accompany the application form. This is an individual membership. Annual dues are $50.

Parking Consultants Council

Composed primarily of engineers, consultants and architects, these members produce a wide range of technical publications for the NPA. Subjects include design, construction and maintenance of parking facilities, recommended guidelines for zoning ordinances, and other issues of importance to traffic engineers, state and municipal officials, urban planners and parking executives. Applicants for this division must complete an extensive application which includes descriptions of projects completed and professional references. Please contact NPA for more information.
