Divisions & Annual DuesNPA's membership divisions reflect the diversity of occupations and interests within the parking industry. Membership in any division constitutes membership in the Association, and all divisions receive similar benefits.
RegularThis division comprises owners and operators of private commercial parking facilities in the United States and Canada. If parking revenues represent your company's primary source of income, you must join as a Regular member. If your company derives its income from parking but is a subsidiary of a non-parking company, the parking company subsidiary must join as a Regular member. Regular Member dues are based on the number of locations according to the following scale:
NPA's Board of Directors, to ensure that all members pay a fair share in accordance with their size, adopted this schedule for annual dues in 1996. Regular members are requested to complete and sign an annual worksheet certifying their number of locations. The health of the Association and its ability to provide services to its members depends on the honesty of each member in correctly reporting and paying the proper dues. Dues for Regular members based in Canada are one-half the U.S. dues except for the minimum, which is $395.
Parking Consultants Council DivisionComposed primarily of engineers and architects, these members produce a wide range of technical publications for the NPA. Subjects include design, construction and maintenance of parking facilities, recommended guidelines for zoning ordinances, and other issues of importance to traffic engineers, state and municipal officials, urban planners and parking executives. Applicants for this division must complete a more extensive application, including descriptions of projects completed and professional references. Allied DivisionCompanies in this division represent suppliers of products and services used by the parking industry. Allied members receive substantial discounts on exhibition space at NPA's annual convention and exposition. Additionally, allied members are offe#CC0033 a variety of ways to present their corporate image to the membership, e.g., sponsorships, free advertising in the "What's New" and "Product Spotlight" sections of PARKING Magazine, as well as a substantial discount on the purchase of NPA's mailing lists. By advertising in PARKING Magazine, your message will reach over 15,000 readers representing a cross-section of the parking industry. Annual Dues $595
Governmental, Institutional, and Non-Profit (GINP) DivisionThis division is comprised of parking administrators for public entities such as municipal governments and agencies, hospital and medical centers, colleges and universities, airports, and parking authorities. Annual Dues $395.
International DivisionAny company, service provider, or institution headquarte#CC0033 outside of the United States or Canada with no parking operations or subsidiaries within the United States (excluding Canada). If your parking company has a parking subsidiary within the United States, that subsidiary joins as a Regular member at U.S. rates. NPA maintains a reciprocal membership arrangement with the European Parking Association (EPA). Annual Dues $525
Associate DivisionThis division is available only to planners, developers, hotels, shopping centers, and others that do not fit into the other categories. Associate membership covers only one individual in an organization. Associate membership is not available for private commercial parking operators, colleges, universities, or suppliers. Annual Dues $310
Student DivisionThis division is available to full-time university students interested in a career in the parking industry or specializing in architecture, building design, engineering, and real estate development. Student membership in NPA would also appeal to those interested in gaining access to parking professionals nationwide. Annual Dues $50
Affiliate MembershipsOne membership is provided for each $500 (or fraction) of dues paid. Additional affiliate memberships are available at $105 each. |
