Parking Business Development Representative

Seven One Seven Parking Services, Inc., a leader in the parking industry is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to grow our parking management business.

We are experiencing strong growth and currently have an opportunity for a high-achieving, technically-oriented Business Development Representative who enjoys working with clients and solving complex parking business issues through sales and marketing best practices, while demonstrating our core values. The position will be based in Tampa, Florida.

Initially the position will focus on the Florida market and expand to the 17 markets we operate in nationwide. The position will require at least 50% travel to these markets.

This position will be responsible for maximizing the company’s sales and development efforts. In beginning focus will be in the Florida market, capitalizing on our reputation and then growing to a national position. These sales and marketing efforts will include managing and acting as a single point of contact for accounts; the goal is to increase company market share, grow client base and revenue, and facilitate client retention opportunities. The position is also responsible for the following, but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies with a primary focus on indentifying and closing new business in the parking management industry
  • Provide measured growth within the real estate market and property management categories
  • Penetrate owners and managers of Class A buildings throughout assigned markets to capitalize on opportunities within their facilities
  • Cold Calling is an important part of the sales process therefore our representatives are required to make a specific number of calls each day
  • Drop in meetings (meet and greet) at clients locations during travel
  • Manage key steps in the sales process including, prospecting, identifying and qualifying new opportunities, key ownership research, competitive intelligence, developing the sale, closing the sale and being key contact throughout implementation and transition phase.
  • Facilitate contract negotiations and marketing programs through to the close of new or renewed business
  • Prepare financial pro-formas for projects
  • Prepare and provide formal business proposals to prospective clients and decision makers
  • Create relationships with accounts to capitalize on new opportunities as they materialize
  • Identify and develop cross selling opportunities to grow non-traditional segments within accounts
  • Proactively manage accounts to ensure clients’ needs are addressed; acting as a client advocate and escalate issues internally as necessary
  • Evaluate competitive strategies and make recommendations in order to keep the company in a leadership position
  • Orchestrate additional internal company resources to maximize company opportunity
  • Conduct administrative activity to ensure up-to-date account data
  • Attend and participate in conferences, tradeshows, exhibits for targeted audiences
  • Present business updates, new opportunities and industry driven initiatives to management concisely
  • Share revenue building ideas and opportunities with corporate and marketing teams
  • Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary
Experience / Requirements
  • 2 + years solid sales experience in the parking management industry with large account experience
  • Key contacts in property development a plus
  • Real estate experience a plus
  • Property management experience a plus
  • Four year degree
  • Ability to analyze data, develop presentations based on the data and engage senior level executives with findings
  • Strong skills in prepare pro formas for parking lots and garages
  • Advanced technical (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Power-Point) and presentation skills
  • Ability to prepare pro forma for projects
  • Ability to present compelling solutions to business problems through diagnosis and practiced selling techniques
  • Effective planning and territory management
  • Effective time management
  • Effective use of resources, systems, and tools to achieve objectives
  • Ability to close based on value vs. price
  • Strong multi-tasking as well as problem solving skills
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to travel nationwide 50% of the time
Compensation

This position provides an excellent compensation package including an annual base salary and aggressively structured commission schedule. Position offers excellent growth potential, insurance benefits and paid time off, also parking in our company owned parking lots in downtown Tampa.
